Starting Solar service can be complex. PG&E offers a variety of helpful information to prepare customers for Solar.
How Billing Works:
Each month, your PG&E monthly bill shows the amount due for that billing period, including monthly minimum delivery charges. The statement also shows a summary of your year-to-date solar charges and credits giving you an idea of how you are tracking towards True-Up.
Your bill will be sent on or near the same date monthly. Review your monthly bill closely to identify how your solar system is performing and how your cost is being calculated.
See these pages on your Energy Statement to learn more:
- Page 1 of your bill: View the “Your Net Energy Metering (NEM) Account Summary: True-Up” for a high-level breakdown.
- Page 3 of your bill: View the “Summary of Your NEM True-Up Period Charges” for a detailed breakdown.
What is True-Up?
After 12 months, you’ll receive the final statement of your billing cycle, the True-Up Statement. This statement provides your net energy charges and credits over the entire year and shows any final charges due or credit balance.
