Our solar customer service center will help you start service at your new solar property. Be prepared to provide your service address and discuss your rate choices.
Billing on your new solar rate plan should begin within 1-2 months from the day you contact PG&E. This will ensure you receive all the benefits from your solar system, including credits for creating solar energy.
Learn the Basics to help you understand the process and save time before calling customer service:
Rate Choices:
Your rate choice is dependent on when your solar system was installed. Most new solar customers will have to choose one of our Time-of-Use rate plans. Choosing the right rate plan is an important step to help you save money and receive credits for your solar energy.

Monthly Bill:
This is received monthly and contains your minimum monthly electric meter charges and gas charges, if applicable. Annual charges are shown to help you track your true up.
Credit / Surplus Energy:
At True-Up, you may be entitled to compensation for surplus energy, if your system produced more energy than your home used over the 12-month billing cycle.
Annual True-Up:
You will receive your True-Up statement at the end of the 12th month of your billing cycle. The True-Up statement will alert you to any owing charges or credits that we owe you.
