After you sign up for a new type of alert, PG&E will send you a message requesting your response. The message indicates that you must answer "Y" to subscribe to the selected alert. It also says your cell service provider may charge you the standard text rate for these alerts. Please note that this is not a PG&E rate and most cellular providers no longer charge per text message. However, we must inform you that you may receive this charge. Contact your wireless service provider to determine if you will be charged.
If you would like to receive the alert you selected, reply to the text with the letter "Y" to participate.
