When you sign up for online access to Your Account, you need to provide an email address. This is the email address that appears in your Profile section. It’s the email address you’ll use to sign in to Your Account and the one we’ll use if you need sign-in help or wish to receive your PG&E billing statement by email.
The email address in Contact Information is used for alerts and notifications, such as power outages. You can list a total of five emails, so that household members, family or friends can also receive notifications. If you update your Contact Information email address, you’ll also need to visit Alert Settings to update your email for any alerts you receive.
