Scams may come in the form of a suspicious phone call, person at your location, letter, email, or other method of communication. If you ever suspect a scam, please contact us to validate the authenticity and/or report the suspected scam. We never ask for your financial information over the phone, never ask for a copy of your bill, and will always present an identification badge.
Report a scam two ways:
- Fill out our report a scam form, or
- Call 1-833-500-SCAM (1-833-500-7226).
Additional information on spotting and reporting scams can be found on our Guard Against Scams page.
Note: If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be PG&E, do not rely on the accuracy of information provided to you as proof that a phone call or email is legitimate and from PG&E. Scammers may have information that appears accurate (balance amount, bill due date, your address, etc.) that make the communication appear that is it is from PG&E. Visit our Ways To Pay page at www.pge.com/waystopay for how to properly send your PG&E payment.
