If you are unable to make your regular monthly payment two times in a row, or three times over the 12 month AMP program, you will be removed from the AMP program. You will be credited for any months you were able to make the regular monthly charges by their due date, and the remainder of your past due debt will be added back on to your account.
Example: You owe $600 upon signing up for AMP. Each month, $50 (1/12th of the total owed) is eligible to be forgiven. You make the first seven payments by their due dates but miss months eight and nine. $350 (7/12ths of total balance) will be forgiven, $250 will be added back to your account for you to pay.
