No, the medical baseline allowance does not guarantee services. You are still required to continue to pay your monthly bill. Nonpayment can result in the disconnection of your utility services.
For more information, visit our Discover Ways to Pay and Save on Your Bill page.
Medical Baseline customers may receive extra notifications when we experience "rolling blackouts" or in the event we need to turn power off due to a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). This outreach may include additional phone calls or a door knock to ensure you are aware and can make preparations to stay safe. It is important that Medical Baseline customers acknowledge receipt of a notification by answering the phone and speaking or replying to the text message.
Always have an emergency plan in the event you have life support equipment in your home. Visit our Resources for Accessibility, Financial, Language and Aging Needs page for more information.
