Yes, depending on the type of vegetation work performed, we have several specialized Wood Management Programs where PG&E will remove wood debris at no cost to you:
- Enhanced Vegetation Management: We remove wood from our “enhanced” tree work program at no cost to qualifying customers, who will be notified if tree work on their property qualifies for this wood management service. To qualify, the wood must be safely accessible, and customers must fill out a request for Wood Management Form which can be found online at Wildfire Wood Management Program. Debris removal typically begins within a few weeks once we have received a request and completed the tree work, although this schedule is subject to change.
- Tree work during drought: We offer a no-cost Wood Management Program for qualifying wood in Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Fresno, Kern, Madera, Mariposa, Nevada, Placer, Tulare and Tuolumne counties. Wood must be greater than 4 inches around and 6 feet long from dead trees felled by our vegetation management crews. It must also be accessible and within 50 feet of a permanent structure or have the ability to impede traffic or roll into roads, road drainage structures or watercourses.
