Stealing energy is a crime. It creates deadly fire and safety hazards. The theft can result in injury or death to those stealing the energy, their families, neighbors and utility employees. Energy theft can also cause costly property damage. Losses from stolen energy increase PG&E operating expenses and the cost of energy for our customers.
