A clicking noise on your gas cooktop means your stove is unable to ignite. The most common cause of this clicking is moisture in the unit. Unplug the appliance, wait a short period of time, and plug the appliance back in. That should resolve the clicking noise.
If you are unable to unplug the appliance, contact PG&E at 1-800-743-5000. One of our Customer Service representatives will ask you a few questions and if necessary, send someone to make the situation safe.
If at any point you smell gas, please evacuate the area and contact PG&E immediately.
For an immediate response, please do not attempt to report a suspected gas leak on social media or by email.
