No. You do not need to be home to transfer service. We do ask that you ensure access to your meter at each location is easily available in case we need access. If there are locked gates or dogs, please let us know.
For safety reasons, please make sure all electrical appliances or equipment are turned off prior to moving out. If you are planning to move any gas appliances, please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-743-5000 to process your request.
