There is no limit to the amount of cash you can use to make a payment on your account.
PG&E is required to file Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 8300 with a customer’s PG&E account, cash payment history, and personal information, if a customer has made a single large cash payment or aggregate cash payments of $10,000 or more within the past 12 months. This requirement is in accordance with Internal Revenue Code Section 6050I.
The definition of a cash payment includes:
- Money Order
- Cashier’s Check
- Traveler’s Check
