Regardless of any Fire Index rating, a full patrol is required to ensure we identify/repair all hazards before energizing an electrical line as a key step in our Enhanced Power Line Safety Setting (EPSS) process.
PG&E will use helicopters, when possible, to conduct aerial patrols. Extra crews will be brought in when ground patrols are needed so the patrol can be done safely and as quickly as possible to restore service to our customers.
If a power line is on your property, we may need access in order to restore power. Please allow our technicians access to patrol. The sooner they can patrol, the sooner we can restore power.
