PG&E's business A-rates are no longer available as there is a need to accommodate the growth of renewable energy on the grid, which has shifted peak demand time from the afternoons to the evenings. If you are a solar legacy customer or do not have an interval meter that can be read remotely, you will be able to keep your A-rate until 2027.
Transitions to the new B rates have begun for all other customers as the B rates became mandatory in March 2021. Each year accounts on legacy A-rates will be reviewed, and if eligibility requirements have been met, they will transition to the comparable B rate on their November billing cycle.
You can find more information on available business rates within our Tariffs.
